Small and Personalised Trips

Whale Watching Byron Bay conduct daily whale watching tours between June and November. Our trips are small and personalised with a maximum of 12 customers per tour.

Our vessels are permitted by New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service to depart directly from Cape Byron. This allows us to access the waters used by migrating Humpback whales within minutes of departing Cape Byron. Therefore there are no long boat rides to and from whale watching sites and your whale watching adventure begins immediately.

Between Whale sightings inquisitive BottleNose and Common dolphins often entertain us as they jump and play in the vessels bow wave.

Humpback Whales are well known for their singing. These whales develop a song for each migration. Listening to the whale song with our hydrophone is memorable and further enhances your whale watching experience.

What


The migration route of the Australian east coast Humpback whale brings them in such close proximity to Byron Bay it is likely you will encounter several whales during your tour. It is also likely that you will observe dolphins, sea turtles and many different species of sea bird. Our whale watching guides will impart many interesting facts about the migrating whales as well as Cape Byron Marine Park’s many other sea creatures. Each of Whale Watching Byron Bay’s vessels is equipped with a hydrophone so you can listen to the Humpback whales amazing whale song.
